LoreOwl

Integrations

Use the vault from the tools your team already works in.

An integration adds a LoreOwl panel, menu or script to another application. From there you can browse the vault, bring assets in and upload your work.

"Upload with its files" means the scene and the files it references go up together. Files the vault already has are linked, not uploaded again.

For the engines, see Add-ons.

Install an integration

  1. Open Integrations in the sidebar.
  2. Under Applications, select the application.
  3. Under Installations, select Install on the row for your version.
  4. Follow the steps LoreOwl shows. Most applications need a restart.

LoreOwl finds each application by its settings folder, so it works however you installed the application. To use another location, for example a portable install, select Add and pick the folder. Folders you add stay after a rescan.

Remove the plug-in removes only what LoreOwl installed. Download zip gives you the files to install by hand.

Sign in once

The integrations use your LoreOwl sign-in. When you sign in to the desktop app, it writes a short-lived credential to a file in your user profile. The integrations read that file. Sign out and it is removed. The file holds no refresh token.

Aseprite and Wwise do not read the file. They ask the running LoreOwl app to do the work, so LoreOwl must be open and signed in.

Limits

  • Version control and file locks stay in the desktop app.
  • The desktop app is Windows only, so the integrations are Windows only too.
