LoreOwl

3ds Max

Place vault assets in 3ds Max and upload a .max with the bitmaps it uses.

Open it

Choose LoreOwl > LoreOwl Vault at the right end of the menu bar. A dock opens with a Vault tab and an Upload tab.

Vault tab

  • Filter by type and select Refresh.
  • Select assets and Place selected. Turn on Import after download to import them.
  • If an import adds nothing to the scene, the dock tells you.
  • 3ds Max cannot import glTF, so .gltf and .glb files are downloaded, not placed.

Upload tab

  • Upload this scene and its files. Upload the .max with the bitmaps it uses, found through Asset Tracking. Files the vault already has are linked, not uploaded again. Files outside the scene's folder are left out unless you turn on Include files outside the scene's folder.
  • Export and upload. Choose a Format and upload the export instead.
